Leander Women for Progress is a women-led, all invited civic club committed to strengthening Democracy through civic stewardship, community engagement, education and supporting Democratic candidates and leaders. We believe the strength of the Leander area is measured by the world we leave behind—and we’re here to build it together.

The story behind our name, Leander Women+ for Progress.

The 'women' part is because it's women who are getting our rights stripped away — right here in Texas. We've watched it happen. So 'women' isn't just who we are, it's what's at stake. We're here to take those rights back.

And the 'plus' is the open door. It's for our nonbinary neighbors, for the men who show up as allies, for anyone who knows this fight is theirs too. Led by women, open to everyone.
